Remember back in the day when you wanted to schedule a meeting with someone, and you had to email back and forth a bunch of times until you finally picked a date and time that worked for both of you? yeah, me too! Fortunately, we have tools like Calendly to help make this easy.
Easy scheduling without the back-and-forth emails
I discovered Calendly earlier this year as I was looking for a solution to help me schedule online meetings. Calendly offers a free and paid version. I signed up for the free version and was invited to try the paid features for 30 days.
Here is how it works:
Users can schedule a meeting with you by browsing available time slots on your calendar. Here is mine for example https://calendly.com/minimo-studio
Customize your Calendly
Here is a quick rundown of the things you can customize with the free version. Note that the paid version offers more customization.
- Upload your picture
- Upload your business logo
- Customize the public URL that you share with others
- Block time before & after each appointment to finish something or give yourself extra time
Zoom and Google Calendar
Want to include your Zoom details and add the meeting to your Google Calendar? No problem! Calendly does this for you automatically; just enter your Zoom and Google details during setup.
Integrate Calendly with your website
This part of completely optional, but I think it’s really slick and valuable if you have a website. You can embed the whole Calendly functionality as a widget on your website. Check out how I implemented scheduling a call on my website.
With the widget solution, visitors stay on your website and don’t have to leave to another website just to schedule a meeting with you. This is a huge win for any website owner!
